AcuProcess
Jean combines the Eastern theory of Chinese medicine and the Western philosophy of Counseling Psychology to explore the complex relationship of the body and the mind in her AcuProcess sessions. Physical symptoms that occur within the body may activate mental and emotional symptoms. Psychological reactions may also have an effect on the physical body.
The mind and body are not separate.
During an AcuProcess session with Jean (a combined session of acupuncture and counseling), you can accurately experience the connection of physical symptoms and psychological effects. We explore the bridge of outer world sensation and inner world experience. The two modalities applied simultaneously allow you to discover and explore your own unique mind body process. This creates a core experience from which healing takes place.
The session will begin with a review of symptoms, issues, and concerns. A health history, pulse, and tongue diagnosis will be obtained. Based on the presenting pattern, acupuncture needles will be inserted.
Once the acupuncture needles are inserted, Jean will continue the counseling session. She may choose to add more acupuncture needles based on the information presented. Sessions are one hour.
